Kevin Fromer

Kevin Fromer is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Services Forum. The Forum represents the eight largest and most diversified financial institutions headquartered in the United States. Based in Washington, DC, the Forum is a non-partisan organization that promotes financial stability, sound regulation and a strong economy.
Previously, Mr. Fromer was Executive Vice President and Head of Public Affairs for HSBC North America Holdings, and senior advisor to the chief executive of Legg Mason Global Asset Management.
Mr. Fromer spent over two decades in U.S. federal government. He was the Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Legislative Affairs from 2005-2009. There he received the Alexander Hamilton Award, the Treasury Department’s highest honor, for his contribution to the government’s response to the global financial crisis. He also served in the U.S. Congress as Assistant to the Speaker of the House of Representatives for Policy, Chief of Staff to U.S. Representative Harold Rogers (R-KY), and associate staff of the House Appropriations Committee.
Mr. Fromer serves on the board and executive committee of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, and previously served as president of the board of the National Presbyterian School, and on the board of the National Presbyterian Church Fund for Charitable Giving. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and lives in Washington, DC, with his wife and two daughters.
