Our impact in Missouri starts with direct engagement in local communities.
The Citi Foundation in 2020 named 30 Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) as recipients of a total of $15 million to support their efforts to provide small businesses with the vital resources needed to sustain their operations and support economically vulnerable households impacted by COVID-19. Citi is supporting Justine PETERSEN, which provides affordable capital, loans, credit building products and financial education to minority-owned small businesses and entrepreneurs. Read More
In 2019 Wells Fargo made a historic $10 million grant to the National Association for Latino Owned Small Businesses (NALCAB), to support increased lending to minority-owned businesses nationwide through a network of Latino-led nonprofit lenders. The grant funds in the Acceso fund are shared equally between the NALCAB, LiftFund, and ten CDFIs, including the Impacto Fund, an affiliate of Hispanic Economic Development Corporation, located in the Kansas City region. The Acceso Loan Fund will provide small businesses loans ranging from $50,000-$500,000. The $10 million grant is part of Wells Fargo’s Diverse Community Capital Program, which is a 5-year initiative to grow small businesses. Read More
