Laura Peavey is the Director of Media and Outreach. She joined the Forum in November 2024.

Peavey is a member of the communications team and is responsible for engaging media and external stakeholders to promote Forum members’ efforts to foster economic growth and support American consumers. Additionally, she works to develop communications strategies that increase awareness and support for the legislative and regulatory priorities of the Forum members.

Before joining the Forum, Peavey served as Communications Director for the House Financial Services Committee, under the leadership of Chairman Patrick McHenry (R-NC), for nearly six years. During that time, she led the committee’s communications response during a number of defining moments, including the Covid pandemic, the March 2023 banking turmoil, and Chairman McHenry’s service as Speaker Pro Tempore. Peavey has also served in communications roles for the House Rules Committee, Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA), and Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX).

A native Texan, she holds a degree from The Mayborn School of Journalism at the University of North Texas.
