WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Financial Services Forum today announced the launch of an interactive website to highlight the value of Forum member institutions to the U.S. economy and communities across the country.
Whether it’s helping a business on Main Street expand, supporting youth employment and education programs, or providing critical investments for infrastructure, energy research or new innovation, the nation’s largest banks play a huge role in growing the American economy, supporting local communities, and helping millions of customers with their banking and financial needs,” Forum President and CEO Kevin Fromer said. “With this new, easy-to-use visual tool, there is now a single source to learn more about Forum members’ footprint and impact throughout the country.”
The Financial Services Forum reconstituted in 2017 to represent the nation’s eight largest, diversified financial institutions in Washington. The map is unique, in part, because it is tailored to focus solely on the impact of these institutions.
The mobile- and tablet-friendly visual map tool pairs state-specific data, such as the number of employees, small business loans, mortgages, and municipal bond issuances by Forum firms with local anecdotes to highlight a variety of ways in which large banks help support communities in states across the country.
The Financial Services Forum is an economic policy and advocacy organization whose members are the chief executive officers of the eight largest and most diversified financial institutions headquartered in the United States. Forum member institutions are a leading source of lending and investment in the United States and serve millions of consumers, businesses, investors, and communities throughout the country. The Forum promotes policies that support savings and investment, deep and liquid capital markets, a competitive global marketplace, and a sound financial system.
