Washington, D.C. – The Financial Services Forum today announced that Chip Bartlett has joined the organization as Vice President of Government Affairs.
“Chip has a wealth of financial policy knowledge and experience gleaned from work in the public and private sectors,” Forum President and CEO Kevin Fromer said. “We are thrilled for him to join the Forum team and for him to represent the nation’s largest banks in Washington.”
The government affairs group is responsible for furthering policy priorities of the Forum members, the eight U.S.-based global systemically important banks.
Bartlett previously focused on financial legislative and regulatory priorities while serving as the Vice President of Congressional Affairs at the Consumer Bankers Association and Vice President of Congressional Relations at the Independent Community Bankers of America. He also focused on the financial services industry and banking policy while serving as an adviser to Rep. French Hill (R-AR). In that role, he managed a broad legislative portfolio comprised of all issues before the House Financial Services Committee, including legislation affecting capital markets, financial institutions, and housing, as well as issues related to tax policy and trade.
Bartlett also worked at the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Arkansas State Bank Department.
He holds a degree in communications from the University of Arkansas.
